Real Madrid preparing £25 million move for England midfielder

Real Madrid are preparing a £25 million move for Aston Villa winger Ashley Young after another stunning display from the England international at the weekend. New Real manager Juande Ramos is set to spend big in January as the La Liga giants look to turn their poor start to the season around.

Young, 23, has been one of the Premier League's top performers this campaign and has recently come in for some high praise from England boss Fabio Capello. Villa boss Martin O'Neill will undoubtedly be doing everything he can to hold onto Young once the new year comes, however with Real ready to bid as much as £25 million for the player, Young may well be on his way to the Bernabeu.

Personally I would be devastated to see Young leave Villa. He has simply been outstanding this season and it would be a real shame to see him depart, not just for Villa fans but for fans of the Premier League in general. I am not surprised to see the likes of Real Madrid interested in the pacey winger because he definitley has the ability to perform at the very highest level.

Real will definitley have to pay more than £5.5 million to have Young in their team, but you won't. The former Watford man costs just that in this season's "You the Manager" and is a definite bargain.
