Celtic's Aiden McGeady has today been banned by the Glasgow club for verbally abusing manager Gordan Strachan during a post-match team talk. The Republic of Ireland international is widely regarded as one of the best players currently playing in the SPL, however his days in Scotland appear numbered following the recent bust-up with Strachan.
In the past, McGeady was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, with the likes of Aston Villa, Tottenham and Newcastle all apparently interested in the 24-year old. Due to Strachan's decision to ban McGeady, the player will now miss Celtic's Old Firm clash with Rangers later this month, a decision which is bound to upset the Hoops faithful.
McGeady has spent his whole career at Celtic Park and has made over 180 appearances for the club scoring over 25 goals in the process. Personally, I would be delighted to see such a talented player move to England. It will undoubtedly be a massive blow for Celtic should McGeady decide to leave, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if he does indeed leave.
