Tottenham are to re-ignite their interest in Manchester City defender Vedran Corluka. The Croatian international had been linked with a move to the North London side for quite a while until Corluka played in Manchester City's 1-0 defeat to FC Midtjylland, which saw the player become ineligible for a possible UEFA Cup campaign with Spurs. But now, Juande Ramos is keen to tie up a £8 million deal for the 22-year old who impressed during his first season in the Premier League. Mark Hughes has already signed two defenders in Vincent Kompany and Tal Ben Haim, which has fuelled even more speculation that Corluka could be on his way to White Hart Lane.
As a City fan myself, I would be devastated to see Corluka leave. He is a big part of the way City work and I feel if we were to let him go we would struggle to find a better right-back. With the transfer deadline drawing ever nearer this deal will need to happen soon, so be sure to stay tuned to Football Corner for all the latest.
