Jason Kidd, The Oldest Guard in NBA Finals


Center Mavericks Dirk Nowitzki said Kidd as a 'fossil'.

Guard Jason Kidd will be the oldest in the history of the NBA Finals when the starter when the Dallas Mavericks against the Miami Heat in an NBA Finals game in 2011 against the Miami Heat, Wednesday, June 1, 2011.

Center, Mavericks, Dirk Nowitzki, Kidd even refers to as'fossil'. While Shawn Marion considers Kidd has almost 50 years old.

Nowitzki admitted feeling comfortable playing with Kidd. According to him, the players from Germany was still good at mobilizing the defense and the contribution of the shot three very important numbers.

Kidd was once nearly won the 2001/2002 NBA season, while still defending the Nets, but failed in the final after losing to the Los Angeles Lakers. In the next season, the Nets back in the final, but lost to the San Antonio Spurs.

On this third occasion, Kidd did not want to waste it. Occasion of this third and final time becomes very significant after 17-year career in the NBA without a title.

"Now we've got here. And we'll find a way to win this championship," Kidd said as quoted by AP.

Respect was also shown one penggawa Heat, Juwan Howard. According to him, Kidd seemed still excellent among the other young players.

"He can play at a high level, survive with a lot of young players. Normally, if you are our age, people will think you are out. They will say you've not got anything left in the tank. But, when you are old in the League this, you will get wiser, "said Howard.
