Black day for United

Blackburn today managed to overcome the mighty Man United with a 2-1 win at Old Trafford. Blackburn boss Mark Hughes was delighted with his teams performance on his first time at his old club as a manager. The game came to life when Blackburn midfielder Morten Gamst Pedersen struck a beautitful free kick that crept straight in after Kieron Richardson was perhaps harshly pulled up for a foul on Dickov. Wayne Rooney was brought on just after half-time and just after he took a very nice shot but Blackburn keeper Brad Friedel managed to save but he fumbled and Ruud Van Nistelrooy followed up and put the sides level.Just when the game looked to be finishing as a draw, on 81 minutes Blackburn's Morten Gamst Pedersen powered a shot right into the top corner of United keeper Edwin Van Der Sar's net. Final score Man United 1-2 Blackburn.

Man united boss Sir Alex Ferguson must be very angry with himself that he didn't start Wayne Rooney because United just couldn't finish of some of their flowing moves. Blackburn have alot to owe Gamst Pedersen because he really did turn the game in Blackburn's favour. This is a great result for Blackburn but United already have alot of catching up to do on Chelsea.
